Materials
As many materials are sourced from local suppliers as possible reducing delivery mileage.

Timber
We purchase all of our timber from sustainable sources with any recycled or reused wood split up into different usage depending on type and size.

  1. Smaller sections of wood are chipped and coloured with an environmentally friendly dye and used for gardens, flower beds, golf courses etc.
  2. Larger sections are converted into crates and pallets to protect stands in transit.
  3. We have been working with our third party suppliers to install eco friendly burners that are used to heat both the workshops and storage areas. These use micro filters which remove 99% of pollutants from the exhaust gases and are powered through the winter months using waste materials that cannot be turned into reusable stock.

Glass is broken up and sent to recycling centres. This material is then turned into new glass products such as roof insulation.

Carpets are collected from site by the supplier who then turns them into plastic pellets which are then made into a selection of consumer items such as childrens toys.

Steel is bought from part re-cycled stock. At the end of its exhibition life it is recycled via third parties into new steel sheeting, tubes etc. Plastics are chipped and used for a variety of products such as roof insulation.

Other materials such as PVC, certain glues and other plastics – cannot be recycled at present and we are currently looking at ways in which we can use less of these products across all our designs. We are currently storing these products with the aim of finding a solution.

Transportation We try wherever possible to minimise transportation to and from events by pooling resources with other suppliers. We have also invested in new greener trucks and vans which are restricted to 56mph and have proved to be much more efficient.
